Man escapes as train hits pickup truck

THOMASBORO – Ronald Hamilton had to make a quick decision after the engine on his pickup truck died as he was crossing railroad tracks near Thomasboro.
Hamilton, 67, of Rantoul said he looked out of his truck window and saw the train about 50 feet away.
