Lincoln Wayside sign dedicated

Urbana High School marching band director Leif Hall leads his musicians Tuesday at the dedication of the Lincoln Wayside sign at Race and Main streets in Urbana.

The site of what once was Alschuler Photographic Studio in downtown Urbana, where Abraham Lincoln had his photo taken while practicing law, received its official Lincoln Wayside sign commemorating the spot.

All around central Illinois, places of historical significance in the life of Lincoln are being marked with the signs.
