URBANA – A Chicago firefighter who admitted supplying large amounts of cocaine to a drug trafficking network that served Champaign and Urbana faces a minimum of 10 years in prison when sentenced in the spring.
A release from the U.S. Attorney's office said Sung Jin Jeon, 38, pleaded guilty Monday in U.S. District Court in Urbana to conspiracy to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine, admitting he conspired with two other Chicago men to distribute the cocaine between 2004 and 2007. Sentencing was set for April 17.
