CHAMPAIGN – With the help of $490,000 in federal funds, the city now hopes to improve the north part of the First Street-Windsor Road intersection next summer.
The work would include widening First Street to four and five lanes north of the intersection. First Street currently narrows to two lanes 600 feet north of the Windsor Road intersection.
