GIBSON CITY – Stephan Birt is one of those quarterbacks who makes his coach cringe once in a while.
You know, kind of how Brett Favre does at times. The Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley signal-caller occasionally makes risky throws or instead of going down when in the grasp of an opponent, Birt looks to pitch the ball to a teammate for some extra yardage.
